My Projects
Duet Receptionist Robot
For my capstone project at RIT, my team and I developed the Duet Receptionist Robot, a cutting-edge advancement in robotics technology. This robot is engineered to navigate Building D on our campus, utilizing lidar, cameras, infrared sensors, and actuators to adeptly maneuver through complex and crowded spaces. It offers guided tours of the building, providing detailed descriptions of rooms and labs to our visitors.
Duet is equipped to seamlessly interact with elevators, avoid obstacles, and employ facial recognition to identify current students, displaying their information and offering personalized navigation to requested destinations within Building D.
The entire experience with the robot is intuitive and engaging, facilitated by a sleek, user-centric GUI that we designed with the end-user’s needs in mind.
